OVERVIEW
This assignment delves into the methodological approach of Visual Sociology. Visual sociology is a subfield of sociology that explores and analyzes social phenomena through the use of visual materials, such as photographs, films, paintings, drawings, and other visual artifacts. It involves the study of how visual elements contribute to our understanding of social structures, cultural practices, and everyday life. Visual sociology recognizes that images can convey powerful messages, influence perceptions, and shape social realities.

- ge" assignment, it is, instead, an opportunity to speak on the subject matter presented, after taking time to think about and perhaps even have a brief outline of no more than 2-3 major points (60 seconds goes by quickly!).
- In your audio post, please Refrain from any of the following:
(1) Introduce yourself - Students already introduce themselves in Discussion Post #1 which was a video
(2) State the prompt that you will be addressing - It should be implicitly evident in your audio post, just what prompt you are responding to.

*Please review the grading rubric for specific point breakdown for this assignment.
NEXT . . . Post a REPLY of any length, but at least one complete sentence, to 3 of your fellow student's posts (minimum) writing a thoughtful reaction/response to their ideas, making sure that you have written at least 1 sentence per reply.
-->>> Example of how to reply to another student:
Hey Julia:
I agree that there is a significant issue around certain biological issues that human's face, that causes us to shrink back and be silent when there is an opportunity to discuss them openly.
(3) Read through other students' posts, then cut and paste 2 of the most noteworthy statements written by two other students (not the same students that you replied to), and properly credit them.
One sentence for each student:
-->>> Example of how to properly quote someone:
"I can be who I want, I don’t have to get married, or have kids."--Maria Delgado
"It's hard to differentiate what we have been taught [from]... the truth."--Jonathan Kim
EXAMPLE
An unhoused woman and her two small children sit on a street corner with signs asking people for help. Many of us walk by people in this situation or may have been there ourselves. There is widespread poverty and in urban areas seems like an unsolvable problem. When we at intersectionality to the mix, we find that women, particularly single women with children, bear the greatest burden. This image relates to the sociological concept of the feminization of poverty.
